What is a Teddy Bear?
A teddy bear's registered breed is called a Zuchon,
a hybrid cross between a AKC Bichon Frise - AKC Shih Tzu.
This Bichon Frise - Shih Tzu mix well grow from 6 to 16 pounds, depending on breed,
the Mediterranean Bichon mix weighs around 10 pounds, and has curlier hair,
and the Imperial shichon bloodline can weigh 6 to 10 pounds and have more silky hair,
while the standard zuchon can weight up to 20 pounds.
Teddy bear hybrid hair is very soft, virtually hypo-allergenic, and well grow from 4 to 6 inch's.
Teddy bears were originally bred for their temperament, for disabled children.
Teddy bears are very affectionate and have a happy temperament.
These designer dogs are not high strung, like many of the toy sized dogs these days, but still have a playful nature.
This charming, little gentle dog will bark when needed, but definitely is not a yapper.
Teddy bears can learn to perform tricks, and are great with children.
Shih Chons, Zu-Chons, Teddy Bears, and Shi-Chons are all Shih Tzu Bichon Frise mix puppies.
It's pretty hard to offend a Shih Chon! Both the Bichon and the Shih Tzu are very social dogs,
and the mix is every bit as social. The mix does benefit from the sweet and easy going nature of the Shih Tzu, bringing down the activity level of this mix to generally mild to medium.
They love to play in bursts outside, but when it's time to settle down for the night,
these Teddy Bears are happy to do so.

Do the Designer Teddy Bear Puppies have papers?
Zuchons cant not be be registered through the AKC, however but we do give you a Pedigree,
with photos of the dam and sire. Our puppies are raised in our family or other family homes.
Our breeding process includes Euro bloodlines which are the Mediterranean Zuchon (shichon)
F1 meaning first generation shichon, his father being Mediterranean bichon,
a smaller bichon with cuter features, such as button eyes, thinner snout, softer hair, and long silky tail hair.
Then the Imperial zuchon (shichon) bloodline F2 with imperial shih tzu on the fathers side to provide us with features such as the baby doll face and "Ewoak" (on Star Wars) like features, with smaller size of course.
